In the Church Collegiate of Santa Maria Assunta in the small town of Arrone, Umbria, the central apse has been

realized by a joint work of two great Masters: Giovanni di Pietro, aka Lo Spagna and Vincenzo Tamagni.

Vincenzo Tamagni, 1492 - 1516, was born in San Gimignano, Tuscany.

He became an apprentice first with il Sodoma, and then worked in the Vatican Loggie under Raphael in Rome.

Tamagni is featured in Giorgio Vasari’s "Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects",

and is referred to as Vincenzo da San Gimignano.
