This tabernacle called "of the Madonna of the Victory" contained an exquisite statue of the Virgin with Child that has been

later on displaced clearly leaving in the central section the area that was covered.

In the internal part of the two doors are depicted scenes of life of Jesus.

The author is a painter and sculptor with a funny name:

Saturnino de' Gatti, L'Aquila 1463-1518, that

has been a leading painter in the region

of Abruzzo and other paintings

of him are part of the

Met collection,

in NYC.
