In January 2011 in Amman, Jordan in the frame of the “Qusayir ‘Amra Project” funded by the World Monument Fund, the Department of Antiquities of Jordan and the Higher Institute for Conservation and Restoration-Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage,

a workshop has been set up, consisting of lectures on “Technology of lime and study case

on a restoration carried out using lime mortars: principles and techniques”

and “Organization of a restoration site and intervention techniques”.

Theory was followed by an on-site

hands-on work, on a wall

at the Amman

Citadel.
