The painting - acrylic tempera on gypsum coated plywood - shows an open cabinet made of wood,
decorated on the top by moldings and other architectural elements made of precious stones
such as Porphyry, Ancient Yellow, Lapislazuli, Broccatello, etc.
Inside it are displayed rare and precious potteries such as plates, a vase and other artifacts including a ceramic candlestick
and a statue of the Ephesian Artemis, an ancient symbol of fertility and abundance.
All the artifacts are inspired by real works of art that are
exhibited in various museum
collections.
