For this frame I got inspired by a section of the marvelous, and particularly rich in patterns,
inlaid stone-marble floor in the Saint Mark's Basilica in Venice.
Every time I visit it, it is a mind-blowing sensation.
Compared to the original design, as can be seen in the second picture, I have just changed the direction of the triangles,
each one made of a different stone or marble, so placing them to aim outward
instead of inward as the original decoration:
extroverted, radiant energy instead of an introverted, centripetal one.
The last picture is a colored drawing. by the architect Antonio Visentini - 18th century -
that shows, outlined in yellow, the specific section of the floor.
The size is 85 x 85 cm./2,79 x 2,79 ft.
