Between 2017 and 2019, fifteen years after looting, multiple missions in support of the preservation of the relics, took place in the Museum

of Baghdad, Iraq, promoted and funded by the Italian Agency for International Cooperation -

Ministry of Foreign Affairs - and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

These missions are part of the still ongoing program “Support to Institutional

Action of Protection and Recovery of Iraqi Cultural Heritage”.

In the frame of this program, the “Management of the restoration

laboratory in the Archaeological Museum of Baghdad"

offers training to the professionals of the

Museum, in order to help them

 to preserve their cultural

heritage.
