This Crucifixion in the apse of the Church of Sant'Agata in Perugia, has been attributed to an anonymous Umbrian painter
called Master of Paciano, a panel painting of which is exhibited in the nearby Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria.
This artist lived between the first and the second decade of the 1300 and
combined the innovation of Giotto with those of Simone Martini
and Pietro Lorenzetti, as can be found between the end
of the 13th century and the first decade
of the next century
in the Assisi
work-site.
