This very interesting and important medieval monument has a long history that starts probably from
the early Middle Ages and as for many Italian monuments, throughout the centuries, implies additions,
subtractions, reuse of parts of previous monuments, restorations,
stylistic adaptations and much more...
It was a chapel in the 4th aisle of the Cathedral of San Giovenale
in Narni, initially the grave of San Giovenale
and later on of San Cassio
and his wife Fausta.
