Domenico Zampieri - or Domenichino - was an Italian painter of the Bolognese School, or Carracci School, of painters.
This Cumaean Sibyl, painted in 1622, is housed in the Capitoline Museum in Rome,
and it is a great example of the classic-idealist concept of art
which develops the “Idea del Bello” -
in an endless quest for a
flawless Idea of
Beauty.
